Context – Jae and I have been working with Dan on massage therapy, mobility and injury prevention.
I was SO surprised to see that someone left a comment on my last video with Dan saying that because I was a personal trainer, I shouldn’t need help, I should just be able to help myself.
This blew my mind that people think like this.
To be very clear… most trainers, athletes or anyone who plays professional sports the majority of the time ALL work with healthcare professionals. If you are an athlete or train like one, you’re more than likely to have a physiotherapist on hand because when train at a certain level repetitively, things get tight or you occasionally get injured.
Most weeks, if I’m not training myself, I’m in the gym or in a studio filming content for you guys.
My most common injuries actually come from my “what not to do” videos haha!
I’ve also had two children which has come with its own set of challenges when it comes to my training🥴
Taking care of your body is something we ALL have to make time for and it’s something we have to continue to do forever. It doesn’t stop once you get a fitness certification or reach an elite level.
Take comfort in the fact the people you might seek out for professional help or inspiration still have to do all the same things that you do!
