“Sadie, do you see this? This is a persimmon tree! This is my favorite fruit.” Marx picked a fat orange persimmon from the tree, and he sat down on the now termite-free wooden deck, and he ate it, juice running down his chin. “Can you believe our luck?” Marx said. “We bought a house with a tree that has my actual favorite fruit.” Sam used to say that Marx was the most fortunate person he had ever met—he was lucky with lovers, in business, in looks, in life. But the longer Sadie knew Marx, the more she thought Sam hadn’t truly understood the nature of Marx’s good fortune. Marx was fortunate because he saw everything as if it were a fortuitous bounty. It was impossible to know—were persimmons his favorite fruit, or had they just now become his favorite fruit because there they were, growing in his own backyard – Tomorrow, and tomorrow, and tomorrow

It’s 2016, Yang and I are fresh grads bursting with excitement. “We’ve gotta make it to the big city!” We book a flight and jump on a plane to the big apple — we miss our graduation. We stay in loft bedroom at an artist’s house. When we arrive hes asleep on the couch passed out. We hover awkwardly by the door before we finally decide to enter and wake him. Theres some bottles on the table. He doesn’t wake up till much later. We cry as we walk under NY scaffolding and eat famous pizza by the water. We’d just finished a film development course in uni. Yang uses big fat photos sheets to test her exposures. I cut mine up to neoprint sizes. I allow myself one roll the whole trip. Somehow I could never let myself spend on art — it’s too precious, I’d just waste it. I get these photos and never post it because who cares. But somehow due to a wrong timestamp they’ve sat permanently at the bottom of my photo album and I’ve looked at them everyday for 8 years & I love that. So I care!

Clifford is 14; he’s an old dog with a young spirit. We tried to keep him back at the house behind multiple gates that kept in sheep, horses, pigs…. but not Clifford~ Each time he’d find his way back to us with a new bone or stick, jumping straight into the river and insisting on being in every shot ! Some things that sparked inspiration 🤍 – Clifford 🐶 – @bibijaneangelica’s audio – This extraordinarily beautiful day – My husband n his sick cam assisting – This super cool farm – My new Dyson Ontrac headphones Ways it helps me keep my #LifeOnTrac: – 55 hours of battery life to wander – Customisable caps and ear cushions to match my fit – Insane noise cancelling to lose myself in my thoughts – them vibes ~ #HeadphonesRemastered #DysonSG #ad

5 days in 30 seconds! A little snippy vloggy of my escape to Bali~ I was manifesting a weekend getaway when @marriottbonvoy swooped in with perfect timing for @dissolveweekend – a music festival put together across Marriott Bonvoy’s portfolio of hotels & resorts in Bali~ Whenever you stay and dine at their hotels, you can earn Marriott Bonvoy points that can be redeemed for free nights and more! I’m a bit late to the game but I’m now a points & miles girly (just redeemed my first business class flight 🙊) Thanks for the dazzling hospitality 🤍🫰🤍 @renhotelbali @wbaliseminyak @thelagunabali
