I wonder if my obsession with the sky is for you. A reminder than you exist somewhere out there and all around me. One more year~ and that’s how it goes. My mullings this year kept coming back to one word — thankful. Thankful for everything you gave us in your life and through your death. I think I get it now – the acceptance of transience; the letting of all good, all bad, flow through me and allowing myself to experience them all and all they offer. Our story goes on. It feels like “_0”s are for celebrating the past decade and “_1”s are for celebrating the current one. 21st not 20th as an entrance into the abstract idea of adulthood —- 30th felt like a graduation; 31 feels like……. an arrival? A parting of ways with the “just graduated” “just turned” “just entered”, and a familiarity and greater resolution for the next phase of being — new forms, new skin & a new title🙈. It’s a quiet one, but one nonetheless; and one that would look so different without my forever partner @8.cj.8 . So much of who I am, and everything I look forward to, is you 🤍 📸 @its.bellatan
