Amid tense bilateral ties, the government needs to work on religious corridors similar to kartarpur corridor to facilitate eager devotees on both sides. Raising the issue of the emergence of monkey pox. Till date 5 cases have been confirmed. The government needs to step up the efforts to control the transmission of this infection. Thermoscanners at Lahore airport are nonfunctional, no proper quarantine Centers have been established for suspected cases, international entry points should be vigorously manned. Federal Dg Health has also raised concerns about the Govt underscoring the serious health issue. Peshawar has become the epicentre of this infection.
