The beautiful @diannaagron played my daughter and my character, a former beauty pageant winner, would consistently show off her crowns 👑😆 and pressured her daughter to follow the same path to become unattainably “perfect” in every way. Ryan Murphy created characters with layers of darkness, joy, pain and a unique twist of the uncanny that I obsessed over! Yesterday I had the opportunity to speak at City Hall on behalf of the crisis that’s happening in LA’s county and city animal shelters. We were 90% no- kill but are now euthanizing upwards of 200 healthy, adoptable animals a week. I played Olivia, a former pro dancer turned strict director on the TV series, Hit the Floor, about the behind the scenes drama of a fictitious Laker Girls team. Rick Fox played my husband (as a Kobe Bryant type basketball star), Dean Cain played my ex and I loved working with all the incredibly inspirational and talented dancers! 💃 🏀 #flashbackfriday
I just returned from a week adventuring in Alaska and it was absolutely breathtaking- almost like going back in time! 🏔️ From hiking through the #AlaskanBackcountry in #DanaliNationalPark to the #TalkeetnaMountains and then #ChugachRange to rafting on the #KanaiRiver seeing bears, eagles, puffins and salmon. Climbed to see #GrewingkGlacier and #ExitGlacier up close and summited the remote steep #GraceRidgeTrail that could only be accessed by boat to an island. l just finished a week of backpacking the High Sierra Trail which starts in Sequoia National Park and ends at Mt Whitney- it was breathtakingly beautiful!⛰️ Challenging myself physically while being immersed in nature is one of my biggest passions. It refills my soul, repeatedly reminds me that what’s important in life isn’t something money can buy nor your successes/ failures but rather when we unplug from all things electronic and hike through trees, granite and mountain lakes, it puts everything in perspective and a deep sense of gratitude just takes over. Remember to take time to unplug, recharge and spend time in nature and as challenging as it may seem sometimes, mentally shine a light more on what you’re grateful for and then watch that grow… 💫 This was my 7th trek with @wildlandtrekking 🏕️ If you want to get out of your comfort zone and have a kick ass adventure, trek with them- they’re rockstars!
