At Helen Woodward Animal Center, every adoption, donation, and act of kindness helps save lives. While the Center has always been dedicated to finding forever homes for orphan pets, providing life-saving medical care, and educating the community, there’s one element that can take these efforts even further, celebrity endorsements. One of our very passionate advocates is Charlotte Ross, an esteemed actress, and singer with a career spanning over three decades, garnering two Emmy Awards and a Gold record while starring in over 14 primetime series, numerous TV movies, and feature films working alongside actors like Rene Zellweger, Nicolas Cage, Ray Liotta, etc. Ross is also a celebrity spokesperson for Barry’s Bootcamp, has a show in development chronicling her global hiking adventures, and a Marvel project releasing soon. But, she’s most proud of being a lifelong passionate animal activist, having lobbied on Capitol Hill to release chimpanzees from archaic testing labs, doing the famed, “I’d rather be naked than wear fur” campaign, to receiving the Animal Advocate of the year award from HSUS. Charlotte is dedicated to pushing lawmakers to better protect our innocent voiceless animals and has a relentless goal to make our county and city shelters no-kill. Charlotte is a huge fan of HWAC and its mission and is honored to help spread awareness and promote pet adoption with us. Her heartfelt social media posts and in-person visits have introduced thousands of new supporters to the cause. When she shares her experiences, whether cuddling a rescue puppy or speaking about the importance of adoption, her followers listen, and many take action. Her influence proves that a celebrity’s voice can do more than just spread awareness, it can directly change lives. At the heart of it all, Charlotte Ross’s endorsement exemplifies what Helen Woodward Animal Center stands for: the belief that every animal deserves love, care, and a second chance. With passionate advocates like her, the Center’s mission reaches farther, touches more hearts, and ultimately saves more lives. Because when compassion meets a platform, incredible things happen for pets in need. Thank you, Charlotte!💙

This clip was an Emmy campaign Showtime Network created for my portrayal of Lori Valpone on Beggars & Choosers which was a series about the behind the scenes world of running a television network loosely based on the years famed president, Brandon Tartikoff ran NBC during its “heyday”. He personally chose our brilliant writer, Peter Lefcourt to create the dramedy before his untimely passing on the premise of a man of character running the number one network surrounded by a sea of sharks who often lacked basic moral code, ie my character Lori, the network VP who would stop at nothing to get the highest ratings possible. The “beggars” were the talent, the “choosers” were the head network executives. We had numerous celebrity guest stars, the writing was quick, really funny with a lot of inside industry humor and when people ask which role I’ve played was my favorite… Lori Valpone always comes to mind… 🙏🏼❤️ #throwbackthursday #beggarsandchoosers #showtime

In the blink of an eye, the journey through parenthood unfolds in slow motion as we witness the growth of our little bundles of joy. In a world where time often slips away at a fast speed, we realize that the little things, those tiny moments, are what truly matter. And while we try to teach our children about life, it’s our children who teach us what life is all about. But, empty nest comes quickly. It’s the one job where the better you do, the more you won’t be needed. No one tells you that the hardest part of motherhood is when your kids grow up…. I love you, Max… more than you will ever know… 🙏🏼♥️ #motherhood #emptynest #son #parenting #mother #emptynestmom
I love playing strong, badass women and Judith Barlow on Law & Order was definitely one of them! 💪🏻 #lawandorder #flashbackfriday #strongwomen
Such a honor to celebrate Last Chance for Animals 40th Anniversary and their groundbreaking victory for banning the sale and consumption of dog meat in South Korea! 🙏🏼This historic ban has been decades in the making and I commend the brave tenacity of @lc4a founder, Chris DeRose for this milestone moment in the fight against inhumane treatment of animals 🐾 #enddogmeattrade #animalprotection
