It’s been two years since the world premiere of In Her Name @tribeca. It would mean so much to be able to share the making of story with you tomorrow night @petitermitagehotel. The journey the film has provided for me, my family, and my ever expanding filmmaking community @cheshiremoonproductions has been unimaginable and it has inspired me to further devote my life to supporting others to follow their artistic impulses and believe in the value and transformative healing power of their stories. Three Women, Two Stories, One Vision; The Making of In Her Name is included in the Blu-Ray available @amazonprime. Tomorrow night we will screen it for the first time live to fellow filmmakers and open up for a Q & A intended to inspire and demystify the unglamorous truth behind making magical shit happen from right where you are with the community you didn’t even know was already there for you. @alihelnwein will open the night with his stunning orchestral compositions. He has composed the scores for three of our film projects. No one watches In Her Name without remarking on the music which is also thanks to our editor and the love of my life @kevinxbarth who wrote and directed @apityfilm. For those who haven’t had a chance to watch In Her Name you can stream it on all major platforms including @appletv thanks to our incredible distribution team @giant_pictures @juliagalexander @madeleinesch and Nick Saava. After the doc we’ll play In Her Name. I’ll be curious what it’s like to watch the film knowing more about how it came to be and how little money we had to make it. This Monday, August 26th, Cheshire Moon Productions and will be co-hosting a film and music salon on the magical rooftop of the Petit Ermitage Hotel with Darby Gaelle Hannon. Live music by Dane Sandborg @danesandborg and Randal Fisher will open the evening. Then at sunset grab a drink from the rooftop bar and join us for a showcase of work by emerging filmmakers, featuring an unfinished cut of @scenehousefilm a proof of concept short directed by @Annabella.Fazio and produced by @lialeexiv of Lime House and @sarah_carter_oxox of CMP. Scene House and CMP will be raising money for finishing funds for the film until the end of the month, and will be using this screening as an opportunity to introduce the film to potential contributors. This exclusive event will be the start of an ongoing series intended for up and coming filmmakers to connect and to create a space for artists, audiences, investors, musicians, filmmakers, and producers to come together and share their work in an intimate setting.
