Never thought the highlight of my day would be walking ❄️
*Orders human version of this jacket for when mass social engagements are back on*
Anyone else miss doing this? Cramming everyone into the kitchen. It was nice having friends wasn’t it!? Bossing @actualjack around, @liammconroy making disgusting chocolate mousse with garam masala in it by mistake, everyone bringing a dish but @roushanalam just bringing loads and loads of frozen canapés, making @ichaloner come out after dark, making @kate.louise.davy come out at all, getting @harrisonstock & @katiecrookers on the obscenely strong cocktails and keeping @thefionahanlon awake! Special mentions to @gracehopper1 @jennifer_keo @sawyerchris would be there usually but were probably on shift 📻. The kitchen will be open again soon we hope 🤞🏻 💘 in the meantime I really fancy Heinz Tomato Soup for one (stings your throat it’s so sugary and salty) 🍜 🍅
Dad’s put the seats down in the back of the Ford Sierra and spread the ground sheet out, because, we’re going to the local dump…*looks to camera, eye twitches*

This is your timely reminder to screen the most unhinged Christmas film ever made – The Family Stone. I did my annual watch along with some pals at the weekend. Holy shit, it just gets better with every watch. You’ll have so many questions. You’ll be so angry. You’ll also be completely baffled by the dinner table scene, but I think you’ll emerge stronger for it all. We only allowed 3 pauses per person otherwise it lasts hours. If you are partial to this kind of silliness (you can watch the slides at normal speed in my highlights) but ALSO I am trying to scroll less and less (already failed) and write more and more, so I’ll be over on Substack trying to be funny for your validation @alicelevine But, in the style of Rita Ora, I won’t actually post any content until I get 1 million followers! Do you remember that?! Wild. Will remind you in stories now. Merry Christmas from me and The Stones x
As the last @crossedwiresfest speech bubbles get stored away (made by the extremely talented @gilesgroverstudio), many thank yous are in order! Of course, to our incredible performers who WOWED all weekend (& their teams who made it happen), but also to the people who magicked a festival out of thin air… The first person to come on board, after @jamesohara_again @dinosofos & I decided this was possibly a good idea (?!), was the forever impressive @hbennett85, our Festival Director. She has always thought of something (& actioned it) a cool 2 weeks before we have! This wouldn’t h̶a̶v̶e̶ b̶e̶e̶n̶ a̶s̶ s̶p̶e̶c̶t̶a̶c̶u̶l̶a̶r̶ have happened at all without her! Also BIG thanks to… @totally.okay, who created the most stunning (dat I say iconic?) visuals – the squiggles, bubbles, colours. Beautiful, Nick! Our legendary production manager, @timmcleasbyfilm, who is entirely unflappable and just a joy. Fringe venue from scratch in a day? No probs! @_rosewilcox & @katharbo who just took charge and made the free Fringe one of the proudest moments of the whole festival @robnicholson @p_e_d_a_l_o & his team of talented photographers and videographers – @lili_takesflickis, @tom_sunderland, @elliecleasbyfilm and @coryholmes_uk . You seemed to be in two places at once and didn’t miss a beat! Gorgeous photos and film. @pizzyl, who is a force, nothing is too small or big an ask, someone who is just up for an adventure, and is one of life’s enthusiasts, I’m going to try and channel some LP! @_katehardy_ & @viejuseyo (poster papering might be something they never want to do again!) and @jennyeells plus all our volunteers who got stuck in to help things run so slickly and smoothly (no paste pun intended)…it was such a pleasure Oh and if you’ve seen any posts on this event 👀 (I know, I know, we’re so shy), it’s all down to the master of the socials dark arts @tomandthat & the great work of @bensenior_ (camcorders are back!) And of course, if you came to a show, popped to the bar or just gave us some encouragement or advice along the way. Or you’re a pal and let me cry / moan / wang on…THANK YOU. That was really unbelievable! See you next year, Sheffield! 🏅📸 @martingcotton
