It’s giving “sometimes I wish I didn’t have children, so lemme make childfree people the focus of my thoughts.” As someone who is happily childfree, there’s just no logic here. Because most of the politicians out here making laws and having terrible policies that are deranged, sociopathic, and detrimental to society are, you guessed it: PEOPLE WITH KIDS! So make it make it sense, heaux! Bad people exist PERIOD. Pretending that having a child automatically makes a person noble, smarter, kinder than people who choose to not have kids is woefully ignorant narrative.
Being a parent does not automatically make you an amazing person. And being childfree doesn’t automatically make you selfish and psychotic…unless you are a specific gender. J.D. Vance spends so much time trashing women for opting out of motherhood and says NOTHING about men who opt out of fatherhood. Because it’s not about being a parent; it’s about the fact that women who don’t have kids have exercised control over their lives and bodies (and are happy) in a way he does not like. Vance does not like, respect, or value women, regardless of their parental status. Vance does not believe women have any real value or purpose outside of existing within the confines of what his beliefs are about what a woman should be.
