May we be people who bring good news…even in a world that is so full of a steady feed of disastrous stories portrayed on the news, may we also tell the redemptive narrative of our time. May we also proclaim hope to all. In the midst of political tension this election season, it is SO deeply helpful for me to remember, that God reigns. God’s not worried. God’s not biting his fingernails. There is still a kingdom coming that has nothing to do with whatever political party will be in power next. In fact , the kingdom is so often upside down and backwards from how we operate here on this earth. Lord, help us remember that Love reigns, and you will not fail at your mission.
