LA Fires Update…. Due to the scale of destruction from the multiple fires that have ravaged Los Angeles, @globalempowermentmission Bstrong is opening a second west coast branch in LA. This warehouse will be fully functional with racking, proper systems and aid this week. This branch is a long term recovery hub that will be solely focused on executing our multiple proven programs that we will implement in LA. Our HQ in Miami, as well as our North California branch have already deployed over 20 full size semi trucks of vital aid to this hub. This will continue on an ongoing basis till needs are met. Thank you @officialmariabello & @dominiquecrenn for finding us a home in LA. We will be here for the long haul. We are initially committing to 10 M is supplies and Bstrong cash cards. What an incredible few weeks it has been at the Olympics in Paris. It was inspiring to walk the streets and meet tourists from everywhere in the world. It is a blessing to take time to celebrate what we have in common as opposed to what separates us. Bye for now Paree!

t’s been a week since I left LA and the devastating fires that tore through our communities. Oddly enough I was coming to Kenya when the fires started but happened to stop in LA for a dentist appointment so saw first hand the wreckage. I stayed a week longer and tried to help as best I could with the amazing organization @globalempowermentmission . More than 20 of my boy’s friends lost their homes in the Palisades fire. The neighborhood he spent his childhood in was demolished. We were in evacuation zones but we were lucky enough that our homes did not burn. So here I am now in Kenya to help my dear friend move houses after 20 years here. We’ve been going through her house and its memories and talk about each piece. I am so very sorry for the people of our city that lost much of these memories. At least the ones in physical form. And so is Lucy. As soon as I saw her we both burst into tears. She told me even here in Kenya our disaster was constantly in the news. Even her gardener was talking about it. She felt so much compassion. She said that LA was the city everyone dreamed about and if it could burn, it felt like the world was burning. The Kenyans as well as many people in the world really cared. They care out our city. Because our city is the city of dreams. And wonder. And stories. I won’t give up on her… We have a lot of work to do to rebuild. But I believe we will create even more beautiful memories as we join together. I love you all and love you LA. ❤️ @lucygakiichodota
So many families who lost their homes and are now without anything are flooding into the convention center. @globalempowermentmission is handing out cash cards so people can buy basic needs and then this week much needed supplies to the families.
