A safari in Swahili translates to “journey”. It’s not necessarily about seeing lions and giraffes though when that happens it’s magical. A safari can be a roadtrip to a friend’s country house in a land rover stuffed with goodies to make an evening meal. (and tequila). It is the quiet moments on the walk through @carolynroumeguere camp with @bethod and being present to the morning sounds and the breeze brushing my skin through the open tent. It is being with my sisters @lucygakiichodota @jibekb @sophiekinyua for sundowners laughing and crying about how beautiful and fucked up life is at times. And as I walk in real time on my safari I also journey inside – to the places in myself I’ve yet to discover. The dark hidden corners of longing and the bright lights of transformation are the lands calling me now. Enjoy your own safari today. ❤️
