I had the incredible opportunity to work with director / photographer @karencollinsphoto for V magazine on the Our Love video. Still coming out of my skin, or learning how to be in my own skin, she created a feminine and strongly independent perspective to step out into my own power. Her whole entire team on this shoot were thoughtful and sensitive, striving to capture my spirit as well as project my possibilities … I am very proud of this song and video and what it represents and the talented souls who created it. Soooo the secret London show we’re playing now has a venue…. The 100 Club! I’ve been in London for a bit with my band and I’ve always felt a connection to this city. I’m so glad to be back. We’re really looking forward to seeing you at the show on the 17th. Thanks to everyone who signed up to my email list, hopefully I’ll see you there! @themikeyouknow and @donalmosher came into my life at such a pivotal time, on my first tour across the country that I booked myself. They took me in when I finally made it to California and gave me the confidence to keep on going. Artists and friends, they continue to inspire me. We first met together, playing The Mollusk in San Francisco , they recorded early demos of mine during our stay there , and when I saw a documentary they were working on (October Country) about Donal’s family, I was deeply moved. I knew we would forever be connected, long after my time there circa 2007, before I ever had a proper release in the world. I reached out to them to do my first music video, and they honored my tender little song (“For You”) and somehow managed to capture my spirit in such a short little piece of time. I knew I wanted to work with them again, with a new found confidence that they had such a big part in helping grow. Michael and Donal’s dedication to their craft, going out on a limb, going above and beyond – and always for the art & collaboration…. I won’t ever forget. Such a powerful and dynamic duo. I owe so much to them for their constant love. ❤️
