Sheryl Sandberg Instagram – Hunger is a daily reality for too many people all over our country. One out of every seven people in the US may not know where their next meal is coming from.
 
This weekend, my family and I helped deliver pre-Christmas food to families with the @foodbankrgv in Texas. Working with Libby Ann Saenz (@wdwdisneyfreak), Connie Ramos, and @yaradoyle, and their team was truly inspiring. Their dedication to working around the clock and literally walking miles to make sure no family goes hungry this Christmas sets an example of service, passion, and compassion that we will strive to live up to all year long.
 
The Food Bank of the RGV is a partner food bank of @feedingamerica. Feeding America® is the largest hunger-relief organization in the United States and helped provide 5.9 billion meals to tens of millions of people in need last year. They help many of America’s neediest survive and thrive and having now seen their impact firsthand, my family feels more grateful, more blessed, and inspired to do more.
 
As so many of us look forward to holiday meals, remembering how fortunate we are – and that we have an opportunity to make sure no one goes hungry is so important.
