I’ve been told I look like a little boy at work, probably because my mom worked in restaurants so I usually lean old-school when it comes to uniform choices. (Sidebar: when I went to do #topchef she made me promise I would always wear my hair back properly like a “f*cking professional” and not embarrass her.) Besides, cooking is a contact sport and I’m not trying to mess up my good clothes or hold back my movements to accommodate anything other than the food.
