Jane Goodall Instagram – A statement from our founder, Dr. Jane Goodall, on the LA wildfires:
“To everyone devastated by the terrible fires in Los Angeles and surrounding areas.
Like so many people around the world, I have been watching the destruction, disruption and even desolation caused by these fires. My heart has been pierced with distress – and I have felt helpless.
There have been fires before, people including friends have lost their homes, their everything. But not on the scale of these fires. The impact of climate change on people’s lives can no longer be denied.
I pray for all affected. It is small consolation if you have lost everything, but I want you to know I am thinking of you every minute of the day.
And I know that the whole JGI family, around the world, joins me in sending this message of concern.
