After many years battling with my eye health, I’ve reached the end of road somewhat, and the decision has been made to try a prosthetic eye shell. This marks the start of a journey to have an artificial eye, with an incredible medical team behind me. As always I’m incredibly grateful to all those in the NHS and private health care system for their talent and kindness. I will share my journey, I’m hopeful and nervous about being able tolerate it and would love to hear from any of you in the comments if you’ve been on this journey or have any advice…

And what a year it’s been. Whilst it hasn’t all gone in my favour, it’s been an incredible year of opportunities both personally and professionally. I’ve connected with incredible new people and strengthened current relationships and hope to continue that in 2025 ✨ I’ve never believed in a list of unachievable goals (I think you’re setting yourself up for failure personally) remember to make goals as you go along and complete things, don’t attempt to change everything at once, and one other thing, give yourself a break! Happy new year beautiful people ♥️ and thank you all for being you and being here, it’s become a community I’ve come to rely on and I never take it for granted.
This is one that bares repeating when it comes to the start of a new year. Don’t try and mirror someone else’s resolutions, or ‘new year, new me’ choices, because it’s not a competition, work at your own pace and acknowledge your wins within your own boundaries and your own capabilities.
From the pressures of ageing, and being different in a world that thrives off conventional beauty, this book deals with a lifetime of being outside. It deal with problems all of us face, and one in particular, ageing. It details before my attack, when my youth served as currency, through my medical journey where I couldn’t recognise my reflection, and others refused to, right up to where I am now, content but constantly fighting for my place in the world, something I’m sure I’m not alone in. Some excerpts from ‘Still Beautiful’ 🤍 Writing this book took me on a journey of life, death, youth and beauty; and the way that the world tells us how we should look, and behave as we get older. Ageing is a privilege not afforded to all, yet we’re punished constantly at a time we should be enjoying, thriving, LIVING! ‘Still Beautiful’ is for everyone who’s questioned their journey through one of those four pillars. My life could have been over at 24, gone, just like that. So what if yours was over, or changed irreversibly tomorrow? Order your copy of ‘Still Beautiful’ now in my bio and stories ⬆️

From living the life of a normal 24 year old to having the face I always knew thrown in a medical waste bin, my new book ‘Still Beautiful’ is an honest and raw account of my life up to 40. It serves as a reminder, a guide, and a way forward in to ageing, in a world that punishes for something that happens to us all. “I was too young to question the narrative I’d been fed and I traded on my looks, living recklessly and unaware of my own mortality. I smoked, I drank, and I didn’t think about my diet beyond what would keep me slim. Words like ‘ageing’ and ‘disability’ had no place in my world.” Order your copy of ‘Still Beautiful’ now in my bio and stories ⬆️

Saw this and thought of all of the weird and wonderful rules people have for their homes. Are you a shoes on or off house? I once visited a house where they asked me to wash my hands as I entered 😂 (was slightly taken aback/offended tbh)! Tell me everything ⬇️
