I met my younger self for coffee today… I realised she spent all of her time worrying about problems that weren’t really there, when life was carefree and fun, until it wasn’t anymore. I reassured her that she’ll get through the dark times that are ahead, darker than she’d ever imagine, but toward a light brighter than she’d have thought too. To arrive at a place where worry is a wasted emotion, because from life, to almost death and back again, she is strong, independent and powerful.

I can’t tell you how much this quote from Bianca Sparacino resonated with me around Valentine’s Day. It takes your own path, and your own ups and downs to learn how you want to be loved and how you want to give your love to those around you. So with the heartache and the pain that comes with love that’s come and gone, you can at least have solace in a lesson learned.
