My life really did change almost overnight after finally being prescribed HRT. I was fortunate enough to attend a clinic who looked at more symptom-led diagnosis and didn’t rely on results from blood tests. My experience may not be the same as yours, but if you’re struggling to find treatment for the symptoms of peri menopause/menopause ask your GP to take a look at your overall symptoms and take them into consideration or refer you a specialist clinic. It’s a story I’m hearing all too often, many women still struggling as hormones are often only considered as an afterthought. Was your journey to diagnosis and treatment (if you had it) straightforward enough? Genuinely just interested in hearing other people’s experiences and they might help other women going through the process just now. AD When I’m on the move, I like to travel light, so versatile clothing and footwear which can be adapted to different occasions is essential. See how the same pair of shoes can be styled differently by selecting different jewelry and other accessories. (Or how the same outfit can be transformed by changing to a different pair of shoes.) As I’ve got older, and more confident, I make up my own rules and I’m certainly no slave to fashion. Comfort is key! 🙌🏼🩷 I love a wedge, and I have been questioned about whether they are “appropriate” footwear for certain activities, but in my opinion, if you feel good in them, whether you’re on grass, sand, gravel, steps or hiking up a mountain, they are always appropriate footwear! Likewise with flats, who says you can’t dress them up for an evening look with glitzy jewelry and make a statement. I make my own rules when it comes to holiday fashion.
