This is VERY long form which is way outside my comfort zone. Let me start by saying that I am extremely grateful for our health and safety. I am fully aware that things could have turned out very differently for us. I also feel like it is important to say that it is possible to be both grateful for the end result and disappointed in how we achieved it. Both things can be true. I think my greatest hesitation in sharing my birth story (though I certainly don’t think it is any more special than anyone else’s birth story) is the inevitability of dismissive comments. “Everything happens for a reason.” “At least you didn’t have to (fill in the blank).” “He’s here, and that’s all that matters.” Is that the thing that matters MOST? 100% yes. Is it the ONLY thing that matters? Well…no. My heart’s desire for my birth does, in fact, matter too. God cares about that. I had very specific reasons behind what I wanted, and I am still disappointed that I wasn’t able to achieve that—for my own sake but, primarily, for my baby’s sake. That being said, I am not looking for consolation, correction, or advice for next time. I am on my own journey with the Lord on that one. I only share this because 1) people have asked quite a bit, and 2) I hope to encourage someone that, if your birth didn’t go according to plan, you did not fail. I also know that, during pregnancy, it is super important to fill your mind with positive birth stories. If you are believing for an intervention-free birth, know that I am in agreement with you. I’m believing mine will be entirely different next time as well. I also wish I would have been even REMOTELY prepared or equipped for an alternative. So do with that info what you will. And with that…

Thank you, Jesus 🖤
Bone Marrow Ice Cream 🍦 Marrow is full of collagen (amazing for skin, joint, muscle, and gut health) and glucosamine (helps with inflammation). On top of that, raw dairy is FULL of calcium, vitamins A, D & K, phosphorus, enzymes, and probiotics. Ice cream can actually be good for your gut when it isn’t full of fillers, gums, and oils. This one comes out tasting a little bit like caramel or toasted marshmallow to me. Recipe below: 1-2 pound of bovine femur bones (cut lengthwise or crosswise) 2 cups of raw heavy cream* 1.5 cups of raw whole milk* 6 pasture-raised egg yolks 1/4 cup organic maple syrup 2 teaspoons of vanilla Pinch of sea salt *you do not have to use raw dairy 1. Soak the beef bones overnight and strain 2. Preheat the oven to 450 degrees, and place the beef bones on a parchment lined baking sheet 3. Roast the bones for 20 minutes 4. Let the bones cool until they are tolerable to the touch, and gently scoop out the marrow into a small bowl 5. Put your cream, milk, egg yolks, maple syrup, bone marrow, vanilla, and salt in a blender until mixed (careful not to overblend) 6. Follow the instructions on your specific ice cream maker! For the NinjaCreami, I spin it THREE times on the “ice cream” setting. 7. Serve plain, with a little maple syrup on top, or with coffee poured over Enjoy 🤎
Since I’m asked about this constantly, I figured let’s make it a reel. The most gorgeous carriers at the best price point. I own 3 different colors/patterns, and there’s a chance I’ll get another. I’ve used it in the house, on vacation, and everything in between. I even walked the beach nursing the boy while he was in it, and no one could tell. 🙌🏻 Not to mention, it would be the best baby shower gift. Comment “carrier,” and I’ll send you my link.
AND makes it easy to prioritize my family and bring my baby. Dream come true. 🙌🏻
Tiny things for tiny eggs 😍
If you haven’t gotten a massage at @wearerut_ , you truly don’t know what you’re missing. She is especially accommodating if you are pregnant or freshly postpartum…which is really when you need a treat like this the most. I love it here so much. 🤎
Calling this one the Adaptogenic Affogato ☕️ I used my bone marrow ice cream and my favorite nootropic/adaptogenic coffee to make a super nutrient dense lil treat 🤤 Comment “coffee” for the link to my favorite blend 🤎
You can catch me adding beef gelatin and egg yolks to everything 🙃🐮🍳 Sound off in the comments if we need the full shepherds pie recipe 🤎
All set for the week 🥛🐮🤍
I am SO touched and shocked by the absolute avalanche of support and love I have received. Truly too many messages to screenshot. It isn’t always, but man…social media was a very sweet place for me that day. If you missed it, I saved my story to my “Postpartum” highlight. And for the link to the supplement…the ONE THING that I’m convinced has turned it around in just a week’s time…comment “link,” and I’ll send it right over. I cannot emphasize enough how much this has helped me. Mainly, I understand more than ever how essential community is when you become a mom. So, thanks for being my people. 🤎
The most requested in my DMs…the gold latte 💛 Anti-inflammatory, metabolism boosting, and immune supporting. When my nervous system isn’t quite in a place for caffeine, this is my morning treat instead 🙌🏻 If you comment “gold,” I’ll send you the recipe plus links for the ingredients.
From our first date 3 years ago to today ❤️ Love you, honey.
The Unhinged Husband’s specialty 🙌🏻 It makes the best cereal! Enjoy. 5 cups organic oats 1 cup sliced almonds 1 cup organic pumpkin seeds 1/2 cup organic maple syrup 1/2 organic coconut oil 1-2 tbsp of vanilla Preheat the oven to 350 Mix all the ingredients in a large bowl (you can do this by hand, my husband likes to be fancy with the KitchenAid 😂) Spread in an even layer on a baking sheet Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the edges turn golden brown Let cool completely before breaking it up into pieces 🤎
I’m a firm believer in a food first approach to nutrition. Supplements will only do so much good without great quality food. But I absolutely believe in filling in some gaps with whole food/great quality supplementation. My daily non negotiable lineup as a postpartum mom: -beef liver -energy/metabolism support -hormone balance -mood support -shilajit Comment “info,” and I’ll send you the links for all these essentials.
