As the number of Holocaust survivors becomes fewer and fewer, we must promise to never forget their stories. I had the privilege of hosting Lya Frank for Yom HaShoah (Holocaust Remembrance Day) with @zikaronbasalon. She shared her horrifying stories of surviving the Holocaust and reminded us of the importance of Holocaust education so that these atrocities never happen again.
Today is Yom Hashoah/Holocaust Remembrance Day. Thank you @noatishby for hosting this beautiful gathering and opportunity to hear Holocaust survivor Liya Frank share her and her family’s story. One of far too many tragic stories that we can never allow to be forgotten, ever. 2 days ago I watched @montanatucker powerful film about the children of October 7th and heard 11 year old survivor Yael Idan share her story from 2023, and yesterday I heard Liya Frank share her story from 1945 when she was 10 years old. These shared experiences are far too similar, and absolutely heartbreaking to imagine. How these experiences 80 years apart can be so connected is beyond belief, and a reality that most jews never considered to be a threat in modern times. Yet here we are, hearing 2 survivors, 80 years apart, with one shared experience, and a global society capable of repeating some of humanity’s most evil and tragic acts. Liya at 90 years old says she’s not just worried about the Jewish population, she’s worried about the human population. As many of us our still currently capable of living seemingly beautiful and peaceful lives, there is genocide and evil happening around the world. As the small % of the population we Jews make up, we are fighting for our continued right to exist, but this is far from just a Jewish, Israel, Palestine issue, this is a human issue. Let this day not only make us remember what happened in 1945, but also remind us of what is happening in 2025. #NeverAgain has unfortunately become an outdated slogan, and the time to act is now.

What the US has done to our food is devastating. We could learn alot from the people of Israel. This one farm feeds multiple towns and it’s clean and organic. Israel makes it look easy. I have never eaten so well in my life. I can’t wait to come back to what’s become one of my favorite places in the world and second home.
Part 1 : You can hear in my heavy breathing that sharing my truth up there was both terrifying and liberating. From this one speech the amount of people that have reached out saying thank you and that my strength has given them strength is out of this world. And it’s exactly why I’m choosing to heal right along with all of you. I’m grateful for where I am at today and for how far I’ve come but mostly for the journey ahead. About to close the day here in Mexico City at the #atimetoheal event and I’m and so very honored to be the Final speaker I just hope that I don’t disappoint. This is big for me. This story started out as extremely difficult to share and once I took my power back it became extremely liberating. Needless to say I’ve never felt so low in my entire life. To then turn my pain into power to help others by spreading awareness and doing all I could to put David Bloom behind bars. Learning how difficult it was to put a criminal behind bars was very discouraging at times especially when he’d say “They will never do anything about it” . Needless to say this time he messed with the wrong pissed off mom. This story is still taking place as he sits behind bars awaiting trial where I will most likely have to testify. A huge thank you to my partners in pizza girl @will.o.am & @cootie2107 for empowering me to flip the script on him and to @thealexbaskin @queenofthecon and Aliza Rosen of @ayr_media for believing in me and helping put this podcast together to ensure the world knows his name before his trial so that no one ever gets hurt by him again. Part 2 : Yes I cried on stage. Realizing it’s a full circle that I lost my mom and now my whole following is grateful moms hugging me and saying how proud they are of me has been a love I’ve not felt my whole life. What a gift. Do something to help someone and might gain a couple thousand incredible moms. To all the moms out here YOU are why I keep going. All the messages full of love and gratitude, the hugs In the street, and the thousands of messages I receive. I feel your love. You say that I have been helping you heal but the truth is you are helping me heal from a lifetime of sadness. So thank you. #atimetoheal
The more I learn put these toxic little computers on our hands the more I don’t like them. They are after our peace, money and joy. They remove us from our beautiful moments and we only have so much time to spend. I turned off ALL OF MY NOTIFICATIONS that I know I don’t need and I’m so excited about it: I control my life and day not my damn phone! I control my phone not the other way around. I use it for communication and business on my terms PERIOD. I feel about a thousand times lighter already. Take your life back with me. It feels so damn good. Love you guys!
