Some times we are guided intuitively! The beat triggered me to a happy feeling (yes you can be triggered to feel happiness if you allow yourself to) and I decided to let my skinny self do the dance. I first researched the meaning of the lyrics ( very important when you don’t know the culture well or speak the language but have admiration and respect for the culture and people of that culture embrace and show you love) then grabbed a t shirt . It wasn’t till I was posting that I realized the T shirt read WONT BE ERASED! Find things that trigger joy and happiness so you have inner support to handle the chaos!
Thank you NYC Tourism! It was a delight sharing my love for Ny and why it is so dear to me! Thank you Sachin! REPOST: @nyctourism Dominique Jackson is an actress, model, author, executive producer,—but beyond that, a leading advocate for LGBTQ people. Congratulations courageous beautiful sister! 💕🙌🏾👏🏾💕 REPOSTS: 1 – 3 @therealalexandrabillings Wondrous. Fierce. Powerfully intelligent. @raquel_willis is a warrior without fear and a hero with a purpose. Honored by Time Magazine as one of the official Women Of The Year, she breaks boundaries as if they never existed. She non a journey of great purpose. She is divinely blessed with a radical sense of humor and a razor sharp wit, and as the world spins and continues to fly off into the ether, that is most likely one of her most sought after super powers. I have followed her for years. I try my best to walk her walk and talk her talk. She is one of my favorite teachers and I, as a devout student, hold on to her speak and demeanor as best I can. I don’t know if this means not everything is on fire. I honestly don’t know. My head is turning so fast and as I sit patiently, dodging dishes at the MadHatters tea party along with the rest of my Trans family, I look for leaders like Raquel. To guide me. Keep me. And most of all, to remind me that no matter how awful it is right now and how much deeper into the darkness we may go, there is always gorgeous and hopeful places to rest. And in the arms of this warrior, is one of those places. 4. @jeniferlewisforreal We gotta LOVE each other throughout this whole mess.

So grateful to be a part of this historic piece. Thank you to the Mayor of Jersey City for the acknowledgement! Thank you for your continued support of our community REPOST: @communityspotlightfoundation It was an honor to attend the film screening of “I’m Your Venus”, a powerful Spotlight documentary, at the Bethune Center in Jersey City. Even more meaningful to share this experience with community as we observed Trans Day of Visibility — a reminder of the beauty, strength, and resilience of our trans siblings. Grateful to be in the room, hold space, and uplift stories that matter. @bethunecenter @jcartandculture #ImYourVenus #TransDayOfVisibility #LGBTQVoices #TransLivesMatter #SpotlightDocumentary #JerseyCityEvents #CommunityLove #RepresentationMatters #BethuneCenter #TDOV2025

POV: You came to America with nothing. You’re Black. You’re trans. You did what you had to do—sex work, survival jobs—just to stay alive. And when the world tried to break you? You didn’t get petty. You got POWERFUL. Dominique Jackson said, “I took the high road.” Baby, not everyone could survive what she did—Let alone do it in stilettos and end up slaying runways, screens, and stages. THIS is what it looks like to turn pain into purpose. From cleaning toilets to starring on POSE, Dominique Jackson is the definition of unbothered and unstoppable 💅🏾 As a Black trans woman, she’s faced more than most ever will—immigration struggles, sex work, deep trauma—and STILL chose to rise with dignity and grace. When she says she “took the high road,” trust, it wasn’t paved for her. She built it herself—with heels on, no less. 👑 Watch Episode 30 of Living Not So Fabulously for a masterclass in self-worth, survival, and standing in your power. 🎧 Link in bio #TransIsBeautiful #BlackTransLivesMatter #DominiqueJackson #LivingNotSoFabulously #TransRightsAreHumanRights #QueerStories #HighRoadInHeels #lgbt #queer #transgender #yahoofinance #moneystories #fashion #model #runway #lifestories
