Rest in Peace Roy Ayers influential vibraphonist, composer and producer whose music helped shape jazz, soul and hip hop, has passed on at 84.
Roy Ayers leaves a legacy of timeless grooves and countless samples to inspire generations.
It was an honor to record with Roy Ayers one of the best songs in my discography “I Love To Love” produced by house music legends Masters At Work (Louie Vega and Kenny ‘Dope’ Gonzalez) 2000 #IYKYK and appears on my “Midnight Lounge” album. We also did a couple of concerts together that I’ll always cherish as well (SummerStage, Central Park NYC & Happy Days Soul Music Festival UK).
