Only 1.4% of kids are trans. Yet Republicans have made it their mission to try and bully this population out of existence by telling them they don’t belong. It’s absolutely shameful. I will ALWAYS stand up for trans kids.

Mahmoud Khalil’s arrest and attempted deportation are straight out of an authoritarian playbook, not one of elected officials in a democratic society who claim to be champions of free speech. I’m leading more than 100 House Democrats in demanding answers.

As Trump weaponizes every part of the government against immigrants, he’s taking resources away from things that really matter. Crime prevention. Counterterrorism. Drug interdiction. All being ignored because Trump wants to vilify LEGAL immigrants and turn us against each other.
Trump’s efforts to destroy USAID will hurt communities across the globe as well as right here in the US. This administration does not have the authority to unilaterally end USAID — and Congress will continue to fight to protect it.
Happy Earth Day! I’m so grateful to represent a district and state with so much natural beauty. As this administration takes a chainsaw to environmental programs, we must recommit ourselves to doing everything we can to stand up and protect our planet and our people.
The research that scientists are doing across this country and in my district is essential — it literally saves lives. So much critical cancer care, research, and cures are being put in jeopardy because of Trump’s NIH funding cuts.
