Watching the new Temptation Island on @netflix has me reflecting on my own season—and missing these girls so much. ♥️ Season 1, walking in blind, no idea of the weight of what we were signing up for. Through it all, we had each other. The first (and only) time I watched my Temptation Island season (USA Network, Season 1) was in 2019—live, with the rest of the world watching alongside me. At the time, it was so fresh it was really difficult to watch. Now, 6 years and a lot of healing later, I’d love to go back and watch it with a new perspective—one with kinder eyes. For the last 6 years (esp since temptation island) mental health has been a big struggle for me. A formula I came up with a couple years ago really helped when I felt days were just slipping through my fingers and lost due to bad mental health stints, I would tell myself and set the intention for the day that if can only do these 3 things every day, the day isn’t wasted. Fast forward to present time, I’m happier and healthier than ever and never take good days for granted. I have always felt called to be open and share with others what I’m going through so I wanted to share this with you in case it may be just what you needed to hear today. Hope this helps! I’ll go first: in addition to above, a non-negotiable for me has always been getting a workout in and starting my day with a morning routine (no phone, read, journal, listen to an uplifting or spiritual audio and list out gratitudes).
