Evanna Lynch Instagram – Last month in the park with Malo 🌳Yes so I have a dog in my life now! She came with a man included, best 2 for 1 deal I’ve ever come across 🙂♥️ I never really took to dogs before, I found their neediness exhausting and a bit pitiful – looking back I think I probably identified too closely with their need to be liked and affirmed, a quality I found repulsive in myself 😬 But Malo has changed this for me, I’ve become very enamoured with her naive trust that she will be loved in every room she bounds into, her enthusiasm for the mornings and her sweet unguarded heart. Dogs are very pure and uncomplicated. I also deeply appreciate how much they help with small talk 😅 I get such anxiety about talking to strangers, I don’t even know why but it’s gotten a lot worse since lockdown and I’m no stranger to taking very long routes home to avoid the agony of meandering chit chat with neighbours. Having a dog is brilliant because you don’t even have to make direct eye contact, you just smile at their dog and compliment their manner/coat and you get to know their dog first and then the rest just flows! I bet some people have children to deflect excruciating small talk and painful introspection about themselves. When really all you need is a dog. ✅ | Posted on 05/Aug/2022 03:33:10
