So often I’m asked for advice on breaking into the business and navigating it. I usually don’t know what to say given that it’s such a personal journey, one that has absolutely no guarantees, and one that I have turned away from at points in search of deeper fulfillment. What a joy to share the ins and outs my acting career with someone who can relate to the amount of creativity and faith that goes into sustaining life as an artist and the dilemma of compromise that inevitably presents when having to rely on acting as your bread and butter… why it’s so satisfying to finally climb into the director’s chair.
