Presenting the Arianna Huffington Starter Kit, action figure included. 😊 And how did it know my multiple coffee habit? (But not after 2:00 pm, otherwise I’ll be tossing and turning in my tiny bed!) Here’s the prompt I used on ChatGPT: “Generate the Arianna Huffington starter kit action figure.”
Dr. Ruth Lawrence, who died this month at the age of 101, was a true visionary and a leader in making breastfeeding part of public health and normal part of American life. As she put it, breastfeeding is “Mother Nature’s plan to protect the child, to facilitate the best growth possible.” Her passion for the health of both babies and mothers paved the way for many others.
If you don’t take care of yourself, you can’t access your best, wisest self. When I’m depleted and exhausted, I’m not as creative, intuitive, or empathetic. Investing in ourselves allows us to tap into something deeper. We’re always going to encounter stress, but when we’re intentional about building our resilience, we can avoid going into the red. 🎨: @newhappyco
Our Thrive Global team came together in New York City for an inspiring three-day offsite filled with connection, learning and meaningful conversations about the future of our mission. When I founded @Thrive Global in 2016, the goal was to end the stress and burnout epidemic. Back then, people would wear burnout as a badge of honor. Today, the culture has shifted dramatically, and leaders are now bragging about their deep sleep scores from their wearables. We’re now at a critical moment in healthcare as the science becomes increasingly clear about the profound role that our five key daily behaviors — food, movement, sleep, stress management and connection — have on health outcomes. And we’ve seen first-hand through our partnerships with companies like @Walmart, @elilillyco, @pfizerinc, Aon, @Microsoft and The Walt @Disney Company, how making small changes, or Microsteps, across these five behaviors can have a huge impact. We also got to hear about how AI can be used to augment our humanity from @SomeshDash, general partner at @ivpvc and member of Thrive’s board, Ryan Alshak, @laurel_ai CEO, and @suchit, VP of Core Product at @reddit. And we got a deep dive into resilience, grit and communication from our amazing Chief Training Officer, @joey.hubbard, and a special introduction to our new chief health officer Dr. Andrea Feinberg. And of course, one of my favorite highlights was welcoming Thrivers to my home for Greek food and drinks! 🇬🇷 I left the offsite feeling excited to continue building, growing, and connecting together. Onward, upward and inward!

AI will save us time — but what will we do with it? As technology has increased productivity, our sense of time famine — the feeling of never having enough time to complete what we need to get done — has also gone up. But now, with AI, we have an unprecedented opportunity to redefine and reclaim our relationship with time in ways that can have profound effects on our lives. Whether we use AI to move us from an economy that eats up our time and attention to an economy that returns time is one of the biggest questions of the AI revolution. Our lives are full of interruptions, with technology breaking our time into ever smaller units. And that can be costly — research has shown that task-switching impairs our sense of time, leading us to underestimate the time a task has taken. Clearly technology’s promise to unburden humans of the demands on their time has not been realized. But AI is not just another platform — it’s a paradigm shift that holds the potential to transform our relationship with time. And by reclaiming our time, we can reclaim our lives and align our time with what we truly value. If we live to 80, we have around 30,000 days to play the game of life. As AI transforms our lives, it’s forcing us to think about how we value time and thus what we truly value. That’s the promise of AI — not just saving time but guiding us in how to make the most of it. By pairing the power of AI with the power of human wisdom about what we know makes us thrive, we can turn time famine into time affluence, so that when our time on earth runs out, we will have spent it on what matters most. Spreading the word is an important part of the collective effort to raise awareness and funds for food allergy research. And the Food Allergy Fund, the leading nonprofit dedicated to funding food allergy research, is close to my heart because my young grandson is dealing with food allergies. So, in honor of Food Allergy Awareness Month, the first-ever @foodallergyfund Research Week will take place on April 28-30 in New York. It will include the Food Allergy Fund Annual Summit at the Paley Center on April 30 — a day dedicated to exploring the latest advances in food allergy research. You can also join the Signature Research Dinner at Cure in NYC on April 29 for an exclusive evening with leading researchers. Here’s the best part: 100% of ticket sales go directly toward funding new food allergy research. For more details, click my link in bio.

At this year’s @thrive Global offsite in New York City, we started a new tradition of celebrating Thrivers who’ve been at the company for five years (or longer!) with a customized “Thrive 5” Club Patagonia fleece. Their dedication and commitment have been invaluable as the company has grown in a time defined by constant change. To these OG Thrivers and to the newer additions from around the world, I am so grateful for you. Here’s to the next five years!
100 years ago today, F. Scott Fitzgerald published “The Great Gatsby,” with this iconic final line that still resonates. “Gatsby” is now recognized as one of the greatest novels ever written, though it was a flop when published — disproving Fitzgerald’s own famous line that there are no second acts in American lives.
