I loved my conversation with @deepakchopra. He shared his “STOP formula” for pausing before reacting — one small shift that can transform how we move through life: 🔹 S – Stop. 🔹 T – Take 3 deep breaths and smile. 🔹 O – Observe your breath and sensations in your body. 🔹 P – Proceed with compassion and awareness. One of the most powerful changes you can make is to hit the S.T.O.P. button. This practice — rooted in mindfulness — is a great Microstep that helps you respond rather than react, creating space for clarity and deeper connections. Let me know how the S.T.O.P. formula works for you in the comments! . . . #Mindfulness #Microsteps #WellBeing #AskThriveLive #DeepakChopra
And I would add, prioritize whatever it is that brings you joy 💜 🎨: @lisacongdon
Last night, we were evacuated from our home in LA, but that pales in comparison to the devastation unfolding around us. Homes, schools, supermarkets, entire neighborhoods burned to the ground, leaving families displaced and communities shattered. Our hearts go out to the brave first responders who are working tirelessly, risking their lives to protect others and contain this fire. For anyone looking for up-to-date information or ways to stay safe, resources like the @watchdutyapp and @calfire are invaluable. This is a time to come together and support those most affected: @cafirefound. #LAFires Credit: Wally Skalij / Los Angeles Times
Valentine’s Day reflections. Life always makes more sense in retrospect. ❤️ . . . #ValentinesDay #Love #SelfLove #Healing
Today would have been my mother Elli’s 103rd birthday. There isn’t a single corner of my life that isn’t filled with my mother. She is, without question, the foundation of my existence. She brought me up to believe that there was nothing I should be afraid to try while at the same time making it clear that she would love me not one iota less if I failed. And I learned just as much from her death as I did from her life. She never missed a chance to celebrate life, living fully in the moment even on the very last day of her life, which remains one of the most transcendent and wonder-filled experiences of my own life.
So loved dinner with @inagarten last night — and highly recommend her beautiful memoir “Be Ready When the Luck Happens.” Also grateful to her for donating recipes to our free Thrive Global Cookbook, which shows that cooking at home can be easy, affordable and delicious.

One of my favorite studies found that those who gave their time away to serve others had higher levels of “time affluence” — the feeling of having more time.
Very excited to announce that @Thrive Global is now working with @elilillyco to embed our behavior change tools and resources on LillyDirect and in traditional Lilly consumer channels to complement Lilly’s medicines with the proven power of healthier habits. And I’m thrilled that Lilly has invested in Thrive AI Health, the company created by Thrive Global and the OpenAI Startup Fund to build a hyper-personalized AI health Coach, joining as strategic investors as part of their pursuit of innovation in improving health outcomes. As the research shows, medicine plus healthy behaviors beat either alone. This new partnership reflects the forces that are converging to transform healthcare at this moment: an awakened consumer base hungry for more control of their health, the hyper-personalization made possible by AI, and the latest science on how healthier habits strengthen the power of medicines, including by improving medication adherence. Looking forward to how this partnership will bring the power of consumer engagement and the power of AI together to promote healthier lifestyles and help improve health outcomes.
In a world filled with uncertainty, we all need moments to pause and reset. This was one of the themes of my conversation with Walmart’s chief talent officer Lo Stomski on how to cultivate resilience. At the beautiful new Sam Walton Hall in Bentonville, Ark., we explored how resilience isn’t just about bouncing back — it’s about bouncing forward. And we can only be resilient when we have the tools to navigate whatever challenge is in front of us. Thrive Reset is one of those tools, and one of my favorite moments was when Lo shared her own personal Reset, a 60-second glimpse of the people, places and moments that matter to her and a song that enlivened the whole room! Following our conversation, Thrive Global’s chief training officer @joey.hubbard delivered a live training on how to build a resilience toolkit, with resilience-building Microsteps across the five foundational behaviors of food, movement, sleep, stress management, and connection. As Joey explained, we’ll be continuing to supply Walmart associates with Resets, Microsteps, and other nanolearnings on the Walmart Academy Reset & Resilience website — because resilience isn’t an endpoint, it’s an ongoing process. Associates also received copies of @Thrive’s free cookbook to make healthy and delicious budget-friendly recipes. The day was made even more special with an opening by chief people officer @dcmorrishr who introduced Alice Walton. Alice has done groundbreaking work — literally and figuratively — to transform healthcare. Her love and passion for the community, for the heartland, for using nature and art and whole human health to improve people’s lives, has been truly inspiring. As she says, art and nature are major contributors to well-being. And @Walmart associates can just walk from the Home Office campus to the @crystalbridgesmuseum of American Art to reset and recharge. And a special thank you to @oliviaswalton, who has been a champion for women and maternal health, for joining us. As well as a huge thank you to Group Director, Learning and Development, Eric Rowlee, who has been so instrumental in bringing these initiatives to life.

I love Brian Dyson’s “juggling five balls” analogy: work is a rubber ball that bounces back, but health, family, and well-being are fragile crystal balls that can’t be dropped. When scaling global companies, @someshdash and I learned that the key is recognizing which moments are the crystal balls and giving ourselves grace for the rest. @ivpvc’s Undaunted Series explores embracing the unpredictable and redefining success on our own terms. Forgiveness doesn’t suspend judgment, or mean not holding people accountable. And of course, forgiveness isn’t easy, but who wants to live in a world without it? A great lesson on this comes from @ricky.pearsall, a rookie with the San Francisco @49ers. In the summer, he was shot in an attempted robbery and missed six games. This week, he was asked about it and here’s what he said. 🎥: @KNBR
So inspired by the conversation I moderated at the @jpmorgan Healthcare Conference this week with @elilillyco and an exceptional group of biotech thought leaders who believe that science leads and speed matters when working to benefit patients. We’re at a transformational moment in healthcare, and the fastest way to move the needle on improving patient outcomes is by different parts of the healthcare ecosystem coming together to create partnerships that push boundaries. It’s particularly exciting on the heels of the announcement that @thrive is working with Lilly to bring our science-backed behavior change resources to LillyDirect and traditional Lilly consumer channels and demonstrate that medicines plus healthy behaviors beat either alone. #jpm25
