Those close to him described him as a capable, disciplined, courageous, patriotic, and honest leader.
In court, he stated that he was ready for execution and had never been an agent of any country, emphasizing that he had flown above the clouds as Iran’s best pilot in the United States. He declared, “Everything I have done is a source of pride for me.”
Nader Jahanbani was arrested on February 11, 1979, and on March 12, 1979, the Revolutionary Tribunal sentenced him to death on charges of “corruption on earth.” His execution was carried out by firing squad at 7 AM in Qasr Prison.

سپهبد #نادر_جهانبانی در ۲۲ بهمن ۱۳۵۷ بازداشت و در ۲۲ اسفند ۱۳۵۷ در دادگاه ویژه انقلاب، به اتهام «مفسد فیالارض» به #اعدام محکوم شد. ۷ صبح همان روز در زندان قصر تیرباران شد.
