I got quite a few people asking what this box thing I train on is called – it’s a Pilates wunder chair. I’m not being paid to plug this (though I should be, call me @balanced_body 🤙🏼😜) Despite it looking like a Beverly Hills trophy wife device I loved using it to train for mma. Great conditioning for holding awkward grappling positions, shooting hips back to throw knees and for taking body shots (not the fun alcoholic kind). I also have a fractured vertebrae so keeping a strong core helps with my back pain – and it great for strengthening the pelvic floor (aka stops you from pissing when you sneeze – yay motherhood!) Still chipping away at this post birth body, starting bit by bit to feel like myself again.
Every session with @babyfacebenoit is such a good time – It’s SO hard to find a coach who can do it all like he can (striking, grappling, drilling, sparring, you name it) so if you can score a private lesson with this guy consider yourself lucky (I know I am!) Btw that armbar in the middle f’n sick and if you don’t see why you should study more until you do because it’s just 😙👌🏼
#BulgarianBag workout for the days I got no one to train with – theres still a lot I can’t do yet, I tried to do a burpee just about died 😅 but these bags (this is my lightest one) are my some of my favorite training tools – they’re so versatile and you don’t need a gym to get a full workout with them 💪🏼

Flow roll with @jflojudo for all you newaza nerds out there. What’s crazy is we’ve been training together since I was about 12 and our parents trained together before that at Tenri judo in the 80s 🤯 I always kept my rolling sessions under wraps before, but figure there’s no need now so here’s a little session from the other day. My ligaments haven’t completely tightened up yet so I’m cautious of any explosive movements – still, getting on the mat again has been like being the master of an instrument and picking it up for the first time in years 🎻❤️ #MOMtage
