It is aimed at stripping us of our empathy and distracting us from the real political violences taking place in the United States and abroad. I felt compelled to write this piece to offer another perspective to folks, especially those raising young children, in hopes of opening eyes (and hearts) to the suffering trans kids and the trans community as a whole are being made to endure.
