Christina Pascucci Instagram – Remembering this trip to Armenia sometimes haunts me. I had the honor of seeing this beautiful country up close, and also the horrors of conflict. Azerbaijan attacked Jermuk as I was there, so I started reporting what was happening.

It was getting so little attention, even though 150,000 ethnic Armenians in Nagorno-Karabakh faced the threat of genocide, a crisis that many said echoed the world’s silence during the Armenian Genocide of World War I, when 1.5 million Armenians were systematically murdered.

I want to thank my high school teacher, Mrs. Grigorian, for first teaching us about this painful history. She planted a seed of change.

I believe storytelling is one of the most powerful tools we have to right the wrongs of the past. That’s why, on this Armenian Genocide Remembrance Day, I stand with Armenians around the world in making sure your story is told 🤍 | Posted on 25/Apr/2025 09:15:05
