I was very impressed by the market set up by staff to raise funds for Giving Tuesday. I also saw the work of artist Martin Kubala, on display at the bank, and had rich discussions with staff, answering their questions on many different central banking topics.

This year, I’ve had the opportunity to be part of two exciting initiatives: ➡️ In March, on International Women’s Day, we established a network of central banks to address the gender gap in financial literacy. ➡️ During the #ECBForum, I had the pleasure of speaking with two inspiring Portuguese content creators, @moneylabpt and @quericocasal.qrc, about this important topic.

Keď Christine Lagarde prvýkrát vstúpila do NBS… …bolo zrejmé, že nás čaká výnimočný deň. 🙂 Začali sme v Galérii NBS pri výstave mladého umelca Martina Kubalu, kde ju okamžite oslovila atmosféra aj detail každého diela. A pri heligonke si s úsmevom skúšala jej slovenský názov — drobný moment, ktorý zanechal veľkú stopu 🎶🙂. V átriu ju privítila živá energia pop-up trhov: slovenské šperky, kvalitná čokoláda, remeselné zápisníky… a medzi nimi aj stánok Nadácie NBS. Krátky pozdrav sa tu prirodzene zmenil na rozhovor o Giving Tuesday a o tom, kam nadácia smeruje svoju pomoc. Pri @5penazi_nbs stánku sa plynule rozvinula debata o finančnom vzdelávaní a inklúzii — témach, ktoré sama spontánne otvárala. Na streche ju očaril výhľad na Bratislavu aj zistenie, že v NBS pôsobí už takmer 70 zahraničných kolegov. 🌍 V diskusii o fungovaní menšej centrálnej banky v rámci Eurosystému pokračovala aj na stretnutí s našimi expertmi. Dotkli sme sa aj dôležitej spoločenskej témy: @cestavon a program Filip, ktorý pomáha rodinám uviaznutým v generačnej chudobe nájsť nový začiatok. Prvá návšteva plná rozhovorov, ľudských momentov a úprimného záujmu — deň, na ktorý sa v NBS bude dlho spomínať. 🙂
