Banaras doesn’t offer peace. It offers perspective. If you don’t carry peace within, the city feels chaotic. Crowds, noise, pollution, contradictions everywhere. Kind people and performative sages side by side. I came straight from the Himalayas. where it was silent, and peace felt effortless. When I reached Kashi and entered its lanes, everything felt overwhelming. That’s when I realised, the peace I felt didn’t belong to me. It belonged to the Himalayas. Here, I needed my own grounding. Once I settled within, the city revealed itself, not as chaos but as truth happening simultaneously.

What looked like travel on the outside was actually a quiet reset on the inside. Slowing down helped my nervous system settle into a rhythm it had been asking for for a long time. Being away from the constant pace made me aware of how much societal and parental conditioning I was carrying without realizing it. A lot of clarity came not from learning something new, but from unlearning what no longer felt true. Nature played a subtle yet powerful role in this process. Its stillness creates a sense of safety that allows the mind to soften and perspective to shift without force. This journey reminded me that growth doesn’t always come from doing more!! sometimes it comes from slowing down and letting go. 🏔️❤️ #travel #unlearn #travelforlife #himalayas #madhuriitagi

A journey that started as a student and unfolded into teaching unexpectedly. From learning to holding space for others. 🧘🏼♀️🙏🏼 I arrived in the Himalayas as a student, wanting to understand yoga beyond the mat.. its philosophy, its science, its truth. I joined a teacher training only to deepen my own practice & understanding. Teaching was never the plan. And yet, I ended up teaching at @sivanandakutir for the next seven months. Living yoga every day through devotion, service, inquiry, and discipline as lived experience. Somewhere in that flow, confidence arose naturally from simply showing up fully. This place changed me. It reminded me that when you stop forcing outcomes, life teaches you exactly what you need. Just flow with it 🙏🏼✨ Grateful for the lessons. Grateful for the becoming. 🌿 #sivanandakutir #himalayas #ashramlife #yoga #yogi
