Samyukta Hornad is a celebrated Indian actress, social entrepreneur, and animal welfare advocate based in Bengaluru. With over 34 films and web series across South Indian cinema, she has earned accolades including the Filmfare Award and SIIMA Award for acting, the 7th CMSB National Award, the KWAA Youth Icon Award, and several others for her contributions to social service. Beyond the screen, she founded the Praana Animal Foundation, rescuing thousands of animals and building compassionate ecosystems for all living beings. She also serves on the Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Services Board of the Government of Karnataka. A passionate storyteller and changemaker, Samyukta continues to use her voice and vision to inspire kindness and positive change. Into the wild with a mission 🙂 I am deeply grateful and absolutely honored to have Mr. Anil Kumble @anil.kumble former cricketer and Karnataka’s Forest & Wildlife Ambassador, lend his support and launch Praana’s one-of-a-kind Wildlife Ambulance. More than a vehicle, this is a vet-on-board, fully equipped rescue unit created to respond to animals in distress and help reduce human–animal conflict, within the city, its outskirts, and beyond, this is in coordination with the Government of Karnataka. I’m also thankful to Srinivasulu, IFS, Principal Secretary, Forest, Ecology & Environment, Government of Karnataka, for gracing the event and lending his presence and support to this initiative. Thank you, @tekionforceindia , @aravind_shiv @robillardrana you have quite literally been the wheels and given Praana its wings. To my incredible team, thank you for holding the vision steady, showing up every day, and walking this journey with me.
