We’re thrilled to share the official trailer for TWO PEOPLE EXCHANGING SALIVA, our short film set in an absurdist world where kissing is forbidden and people pay for things with slaps to the face. We meet Angine, an unhappy woman, who becomes fascinated by a playful salesgirl, Malaise, raising the suspicions of a jealous colleague. We didn’t set out to make a topical film, but from the policing of gender and sexuality to the weaponization of shame, many of the forces shaping our fiction are already at work. Now feels an especially right time to tell this story—because the conditions it imagines are no longer so unthinkable. And because, even within systems designed to isolate and erase, people still find ways to resist. Making this film has been an incredible journey, and a true team effort.
