Self restraint anyone? This is my face when… just the other day at the airport, a young lady approached me as I was sitting down outside getting some air. She asked me are you OK? I said yes thank you. I thought wow what a decent human being. Then she went on to ask, are you Alice Dixson? Can I have a picture? Curious, I asked “ did you ask me if I was OK because you wanted a picture or because you really wanted to know if I was OK?” She was honest and said because I wanted a picture. So I told her next time if you want a picture, just ask for one, you don’t need to have to express false sincerity or concern. I didn’t mean to scare her, but she went away embarrassed perhaps. these are the times ask myself- why can’t I practice more self restraint. There are moments where we could have responded better… and an even better moments where we don’t. Choosing self-restraint isn’t easy, but it saves energy, peace, and regret. Hi everybody, this is my recent trip to Okada this month. I did something different and kept the original audio on so you could see how impressed & how much fun we really had. And this was actually just the first afternoon. We did so much in two days. It’s crazy thank you for making our stay so special every time we come. Our family and even our friends who came to visit enjoyed it so so much @okadamanila so if you have a special occasion coming, even for the upcoming Chinese new year, this is the best place to be because it’s for every member of the family – hands-down
While it’s not a race or competition, I agree that women are held by different standards especially when we speak out or know what we want. I know this as oftentimes I feel misunderstood because I am strong willed & assertive. Not all of us are mahinhin & demure. I am an A type and so is my daughter.
