Hey, world! You didn’t ask, but I’ve come again with some notes for you. I do it rarely, but right now I have news that will make your blood run cold. Because for me and my family it has been cold for a few weeks already, as it has been for all Ukrainians. Right at this moment, Russia has turned my country almost entirely into an ice block. Imagine, it’s possible even with millions of followers and a gorgeous apartment in the heart of the capital. This formula of global social media trends doesn’t work when there is a genocide of innocent people This is Kyiv. January of 2026. Centre of Europe. More than 6000 buildings stand like ice boxes. Around 600,000 people have left for the unknown because we are on edge. World, look at us. What do you see? Do you see children? They’re not playing with snowballs. They’re standing in lines near portable boilers on the streets to feel at least some warmth. Do you see rescuers? These are the people who are trying to stop the water flow underground in -15 degrees so that entire districts wouldn’t explode due to air pressure. This is heroism that cannot be described in words, but in scars from chilblains. What you cannot see, dear world, is how many elderly people have just died in their frozen flats, not having any electricity, heating and food. A few days ago batteries exploded at the “Masha Foundation” Centre, where tens of women and children received help on a daily basis. The heating system collapsed. The walls that once sheltered the victims are covered with layers of ice. World, look at this mirror: icy Kyiv is the future of European capitals if terror becomes the norm. Kyiv doesn’t give up. Ukraine doesn’t give up. But we really need to be heard by you, even when the switch gets turned off. Killings must be stopped. This war must end..

Caught in the moment..
