Happy 21st Zach! I’ve known you since you were 13 and I feel really lucky to have watched you grow into the man you are today. I’ll always be grateful you welcomed me into your life from the beginning. By law I’m technically your “step mum”… but we all know I prefer the much better title of “my dad’s wife” because step mum makes me feel about 100 years old haha. But jokes aside, being part of your life has meant more to me than you probably realise. Watching the man you’ve grown into has been really special. Hi… I’ve been MIA! 🤪 I’m back now though; Headed straight to Rock Sugar in Melbourne for cocktails & dinner before seeing @lewiscapaldi 🥰😇🙋🏼♀️🥳 BEST NIGHT EVER!
It has been 2 months since Cookie had her spinal surgery and what a journey it has been. Giving her the tablets she was prescribed was honestly impossible. She would spit them out or vomit and I tried every trick in the book. She only tolerated them for about a week. After that, I focused on what I could do. I gave her @emuspirit Emu Oil, did her daily physio exercises, kept her crate bound for 2 weeks, and helped her walk to wee and poo with a harness around her lower abdomen. When we went back to the neurologist for her post op checkup, they were shocked at how well she was recovering. I still get scared it could happen again to her or even my other two dachshunds, but I am trying to stay positive. I have used Emu Oil both orally and topically on myself for years and I have shared so many videos about it. I always knew it was safe for dogs, so I thought why not try it on Cookie too.
