This week’s #WomanCrushWednesday goes to Elisha McDowell, a student at FAMU in Tallahassee and gun violence survivor who has dedicated her college career to preventing gun violence. As the president of FAMU’s @StudentsDemand group, Elisha has mobilized more than 100 students to march on the Florida Capitol after the shooting at FSU last year and testified before lawmakers about her own experiences with gun violence. Right now, lawmakers in the state are trying to pass a dangerous bill that would allow professors and school personnel to carry guns on college campuses. Elisha is making sure lawmakers hear her and her fellow @StudentsDemand and @MomsDemand volunteers loud and clear: Guns on campus don’t make us safer. Thank you @iiamelishaa #WCW
