Today, I am grateful. Sure, I had to go back to the grocery store twice because I didn’t properly “adult” and make a grocery list (then there are no surprises!) But I have a job I love, a roof over my head, and a mind that keeps me cognizant of just how fortunate I am. So I’m grilling, having a beer, and just being happy of where I am and what I have today. Cheers, America.

Love is a funny thing, I’ve found. It hits you when you least expect it. And you know when you know. She came with the name Sketchy but she is now known as Harley. She’s very chatty but loves to snuggle. I’m so very lucky to have found love again.

Today’s lesson in “adulting” with Kay: when measuring flour, over fill the cup and then gently run your finger over it until the cup is completely full. Scoop the extra stuff back into the container because who cares if other food crumbs end up in the flour?? You’re an adult.
I’ve always judged whether I love my job by how I feel at sunrise (whether I’m just starting work or ending work as the sun rises) I stopped the other morning to take this picture, before the day’s madness began. Life is too short to be miserable at work. Glad I found my happy place again 🙂
