Taking your front door from BASIC ➡️ BEAUTIFUL. I had a simple wreath hanging on the door left over from Christmas decorations and I didn’t want to put it away. Every day I would look at it and it would speak to me. It would say please don’t put me back in the boxes in the garage with the others until next year. So I decided I would transform this plain green wreath into a pink showstopper for Valentines Day. I went to the art store and got 6 different colors of pink paint (different shades and different textures), some silk flowers, some butcher paper and some gloves and got to work. After doing a quick test on the back to make sure it would work I started painting away. I became OBSESSED with the hot pink paint. I am definitely going to be using that more this month. The whole project took all of 20 minutes and made such an impact on my front door. I got home to a HUGE package at my front door today and was so excited!!! My good friend and former producer at Home and Family Michaelan Mena @artbymichaelanmena ( go give her some love with a follow) sent me the most gorgeous one of a kind custom piece of art. Good morning Instafam!!! A lot of you ask about my daily skin care routine. So here it is. First I wash my face with my favorite gentle cleanser. Then I wipe it clean with a hypoallergenic face wipe. And then I get to the good stuff…the MAGIC stuff. I apply my Renew Daytime Fyto Retinol Serum all over my face but mostly focus around my eyes. Then I apply my cream that’s as good as gold, my Ageless Beauty Balm. The texture is so silky and creamy and luxurious but that’s nothing compared to the affect it has on your skin. Something sweet for your sweetie!!! To finish off that perfect Valentines Day meal I posted earlier this week make an easy (but very messy 🤪) Strawberry Shortcake shaped like hearts for dessert. This comes together in 30 minutes or less and is insanely delicious. Full disclosure though the biscuits won’t always stay in the perfect shape of hearts after you cut them because they are my homemade recipe and are buttery and crumbly. If you wanna save yourself the trouble and make sure the hearts stay in tact just use store bought biscuits and a heart shaped cookie cutter. No one will know, nor will they care because it’s the sweet gesture that counts and they will be just as delicious I’m sure. The one thing I wouldn’t change though is the homemade whipped cream. It is so easy and literally makes all the difference. Also, full disclosure on this one as well…go ahead a use a hand mixer to get it to the perfect consistency otherwise your arm will go numb and may fall off😝💪🏻. I have to share this most amazing experience with all of you. Last Friday Alexandra had the day off of school so me and some of my mommy friends wanted to do something fun for the kids and something different…not just another play date or going to the park. We found the most incredible whale watching tour leaving out of Dana Point which is about an hour and a half south of LA near Laguna. We didn’t tell the kids what it was as we wanted to make it a surprise. Friday morning we had to wake up even earlier than we would have for school in order to make the drive and beat the traffic. I had that feeling in my stomach that you get on the morning of school field trips. Remember that feeling? Anyway, the kids were so excited when we got there. They had no idea what to expect. And truthfully, neither did we!!! It was one of the most beautiful experiences I have ever had in my life on the ocean. I love how the vastness of the ocean makes everything else feel so small. It was so overwhelmingly beautiful that at one point I started to cry. Our planet and its creatures are incredible. This footage is from our trip that the drone took. If you look closely you will see me and Alexandra in the front of the boat. I am in all black and she is wearing a hot pink vest. We saw two massive grey whales courting one another and more dolphins than I could count (one of them named Patches that had a skin condition similar to vitiligo that made his coat super beautiful and look like shiny black and white marble) playing and swimming and talking to us the whole time with their high pitched voices. Being that close to nature and experiencing their joy in their element without any fear of us was life changing. I highly recommend doing a whale watching tour if you ever get the opportunity. It was a spiritual experience. Enjoy!!!
