#fbf to the time I stopped mid photo shoot to shape my sourdough bread. Some of you have asked why I don’t post bread making videos anymore…it’s because I had to adopt a gluten free diet to help reduce inflammation. Thankfully I’ve found some great substitutes and the transition hasn’t been as hard as I thought. Although I do miss that warm crusty sourdough! My gluten free friends…what do you miss and what great finds have you made? I miss dumplings and soy sauce but I love the Trader Joe’s Gluten Free Everything Bagels!

Did a little secret something for our book last week and got to call the glam squad! I haven’t gotten the glam treatment in a long time so of course I had to snap a pic. I always enjoy scrolling this hashtag each year. While I may not post every day this is my way of saying “I’m here!” I love seeing what people share and learning about their lives.
I little about me: I was born in Indiana, and grew up in St. Louis, Missouri. I have family in Texas, New Mexico, Florida and Illinois. I live in California. While most of my life has been spent living in rural or suburban places my heart belongs to New York City. I first went there at the age of 27 and it feels like home to me. I hope to retire there one day!

Release my book into the world!
After nearly 4 years, the book I wrote with my best friend @angelakinsey about our best friendship and our time together on The Office is going out into the world May 17th. We are heading to New York for launch week.
While I’m excited about the book coming out, I’ve been nervous about dressing myself for personal appearances. This does NOT come naturally to me. And, I sized up since the last time I did one of these and none of my stuff fits right!
My wise pal @thelazygenius suggested that instead of thinking of how I wanted to look, think about how I want to feel during my launch week. I loved this! I decided I want to feel stylish, smart, confident, comfortable and fun.
I’ve spent the last month carefully building a “Launch Week Closet” with the help of my friends @lindsayjprice and @laura.tremaine and now…I’m actually kind of excited! I’m picking my final outfits this week…I might need some help over in stories!

Happy Easter! Made our favorite Easter-themed treat! From the @bettycrocker cookie cookbook (which I’ve had for probably 20 years and love) Almond Bon Bon cookies. We adjust to make them look like little eggs. Kids love them. Easy to make and so yummy! 🐣 🧺 🐰

…At my desk at 9am on a Monday morning with a hot cup of coffee. After busy weekends filled with family activities and sports, I love the quiet solitude of my office on a Monday morning. I also love my work. Getting to dig into my creative and entrepreneurial brain makes me happy. The only thing missing from this photo is @mrsonnycat sitting in the window.
And thank you @bethhelmstetter for helping me design my perfect office space! (She really wanted me to get a nicer desk chair but I’m attached to this old standard roller one.)
