April 27th is #NationalDenimDay. It’s a day we stand in #solidarity with sexual assault survivors and victims.
Sexual assault is traumatizing. It is difficult to discuss and, as a result of this, sexual assault perpetrators often walk away scot-free. Moreover, the survivors and victims are more often than not blamed for the incident. Such
attitudes have also led to lax laws that do not help the
survivors and the victims much. Denim Day, thus, aims to rid the world of such attitudes and laws to bring about real justice and support to the ones who deserve it.

This exquisite book by @sunhilsippy #TheOpiumofTime is a homage to the gritty, glass soul of the city that made and remade me and countless others, over and over again. Sunhil’s images are visceral but never alienating. Somehow he’s managed to bottle the essence of a city impossible to contain.

I love reading books, I’m the happiest strolling in a book shop or an old dusty library. But over the last 8 months I convinced myself into letting go of the love of reading to pursue the love of work and setting up my business. No regrets.
We ran a 21 day challenge where one of the challenge was spend 10 minutes doing something you love and for me it was navigating the life of @lisaraniray .
There are books and then there are books like these that you don’t want it to end. You want to hold on to all those words and the emotions it stirred up within you.
I don’t usually come out and write book reviews here but this books hit the heart in such a beautiful way – the way she is so unapologetically vulnerable and honest about the the deep emotions that people usually run away from these days.
Until I read this book, I have never followed through @lisaraniray career or her love life or her cancer journey because while all of that happened I was busy with my self obsessed teenage and adulthood. But when I entered Instagram she was one of the very few celebrities I enjoyed following – it’s like the universe was telling me go read that book of hers.
This book hit so hard because having been on a self healing and self discovery journey myself over the last one year – understanding the patterns, observing yourself and your story from a distance to see the roots of your habits and behaviors of today.
