Cody Simpson Instagram - 3 years ago I was a musician with a vision of returning to my first love, swimming. Having swum no more than a few laps for the better part of 10 years, I made the decision to sacrifice what I had built to pursue it. 2 years later I became an Australian Dolphin qualifying to rep my country at the Commonwealth Games. I’m now in the final year of my 4 year journey toward the Paris Olympics, the ultimate dream. Don’t be afraid of your dreams. They are what life is all about. A week of racing at our 2023 Australian Trials brought some personal best times but I’ve yet to craft the swims that I’ve been developing in the dojo. Those are still to arise. I feel very glad to be on the path I’m on, throwing myself into the ring in one of the more beautifully brutal sports there is. Like the stonemason, we keep swinging at the boulder until it cracks!
