ahhhh!!I received a JUNO nomination today for an album I wrote about my mental wellness journey. It took so much trust and care and dedication to create this album and I’m SO GRATEFUL from the bottom of my heart for this nomination. I couldn’t have done it without my music fam who created this album with me @spidermelk, @tawgs, @gordiesampson, @joezookmixer. This is more than an album to me – it’s my connection to every single one of you out there who struggles on their life’s journey and just needs to know you are not alone. Thank you to the @thejunoawards, my fam at @welcometoarthaus, and everyone apart of this album for this brilliant gift of support on my journey. Truly, deeply, grateful xo Serena
I’m on cloud 9 right now friends. This JUNO means more to me than I could ever imagine as it’s for a record that is about my mental wellness journey. A journey to wellness that has been long and painful and magical and soul saving. A path that I will keep talking about as I walk it forward with all of you, my family. Thank you to the amazing @kc.baker for helping me write the mental wellness keynote speech and coming up with the title that has brought me here.
