If the Biden admin is going to ignore their responsibility of securing the border, it’s time to take matters into our own hands.
@govabbott just signed into law new measures that empowers police to arrest anyone who crosses the border illegally. This law also grants judges the authority to order illegal immigrants to leave immediately, effectively placing deportation powers in the hands of the state of Texas.
You don’t get to be let loose into the country if you cross illegally. Actions have consequences, and here they are.
The Supreme Court needs to overturn this immediately. This is un-American and unconstitutional.
Beaver nuggets, kolaches, endless gas pumps, and enough jerky to feed the Continental Army. Drop any foreigner inside a Buc-ee’s and they’ll be rushing to fill out a citizenship application. The beaver is as powerful a symbol of freedom and opportunity as the Statue of Liberty.

A quick history lesson for your #SundayWisdom — JFK pushed a physical education program for schools called the “La Sierra System.” This was a “whole man” approach to fitness created by a WWII veteran that focused on improving strength, flexibility, endurance, and even leadership qualities. Students were taught to build strength in both their mind and bodies. A signature aspect of the La Sierra System was its use of “ability grouping” – a hierarchy of ranks based on different levels of physical fitness. In other words, it was a competition.
And workouts were extremely rigorous compared to today’s standards. To be in the top group, boys had to complete at least 12 handstand push-ups and 14 pull-ups. But here’s the thing – students WANTED to be in the top performing group. They challenged themselves to be strongest and the fastest. We need that mental fortitude back.

Tonight the House voted on opening an impeachment inquiry into President Biden. Some Democrats are going to say there is no evidence against Joe Biden, and that Republicans are wasting time on a wild politically motivated goose chase.
The reality is far different.
Here are just a *few* of the findings from the House Oversight Committee:
-20 shell companies created by the Biden family, mostly while he was VP
-Biden’s home address listed as the beneficiary address for two wire transfers from China, totaling OVER $250,000
-The Biden family and their associates raked in over $24M from foreign governments between 2015-2019
-A direct payment of $200,000 to Joe Biden
-$40,000 in laundered China money
…Again, these are only a few of the findings. There’s enough smoke to warrant a real investigation with some real subpoena power.

These police stations hide behind fronts pretending to be civic/educational/etc institutions to support Chinese immigrants – but the reality is that they exist solely to harass Chinese dissidents and spy on Americans. The DOJ arrested two Chinese citizens earlier this year for operating a “police station” in Manhattan, and many more stations are suspected throughout the United States and abroad.
This is part of China’s strategy of transnational repression – silencing the political opposition outside their own borders thru harassment, blackmail, kidnapping family members…whatever it takes to make the enemies of the Chinese Communist Party feel unsafe no matter where they live in the world. China is basically enforcing their own authoritarian police state in free, democratic nations with no regard for national sovereignty or human rights.

This is what happens when you have the worst immigration policies our country has ever seen: problems pile up.
ICYMI — this week CBP halted rail operations at El Paso and Eagle Pass. The closure of these two rail ports will severely impact trade between Texas and Mexico.
So… why did they close the ports? Migrants have been using the trains traveling through Mexico to get dropped off right next to our border. They climb on the trains and use them as free Uber rides to US ports of entry.
We don’t have enough border patrol agents to cover the massive migrant influx, so they have to pull customs agents away from ports of entry, and now rail checkpoints as well.
Earlier this year Mexico became our number one trading partner, and if imports and exports aren’t moving, we have a a huge problem. So now we don’t just have an immigration crisis, we have an economic crisis as well.
Biden COULD use this problem as leverage with Mexico. Economic pain will always be worse for Mexico than us. Get migrants off the trains, stop letting Mexico be a direct transit zone into the U.S., etc… There’s a lot of ways this could be used to our advantage to drastically decrease the number of migrants we have at the border every day. But what has the Biden admin done so far?
You guessed it. Nothing.
The numbers don’t lie. 80% of Americans see our open border as a problem. And right now we have a shot at fixing it.
Biden knows he’s in hot water with voters. When 80% of the public wants a secure border and he may not give it to them, he’s at risk of not getting re-elected. Democrat Senators aren’t. They don’t have the same incentive to work with Republicans on this. That’s why we need to take our border security negotiations directly to the White House and make a deal. We need to change the policy — it’s not about just adding more CBP agents, or getting more money. You need to change the incentives of “catch and release” that draw immigrants in. These are common sense policies that would make meaningful impacts to our national security. I’ve been saying this for months: let’s get in and get this done.
Negotiations happen when both sides want a thing more than the other side wants the thing. That’s basically the situation with delivering more Ukraine aid, and border security. There’s a sensible deal that can be made if the Speaker takes action and starts negotiations. Letting the Senate negotiate was never going to work. Why? Because Senate Democrats don’t have enough incentive. They’ll get re-elected. But Biden won’t, especially if the border crisis continues through the election season.
Some “hardliners” on our side are scoffing at the idea of trying to get a deal on the border done in exchange for Ukraine aid. They say the topic of Ukraine aid is too toxic and so they can’t even support border policy changes if it has Ukraine aid attached. Ok, well that should tell you that they don’t actually want the border situation to improve. Because Ukraine aid is the only available option for us to make some changes, whether you like that reality or not.
