When I decided to run for the U.S. Senate, I knew that my experience as a journalist would shape my campaign. Throughout my career, I witnessed things that the everyday person may not see and had a front-row seat to the corruption and dishonesty within our existing political system and among its leaders.
If we don’t elect collaborative leaders who are willing to reach across the aisle, I believe our democracy is at stake. This is about unifying as Americans and electing leaders whose only special interest is looking out for the people they serve—you.
Many Californians feel they have nothing to show for the high price we pay to live in this state, and it’s time to invest in the California we deserve, where you feel safe in your neighborhood, small businesses thrive, and all children receive a high-quality education.
