In December, I filmed another episode for the NHK TV Show “Trails to Oishii Tokyo,” this time featuring a Japanese root vegetable called “gobo.” The timing was excellent, since gobo is often eaten in New Year’s dishes. Its long length is associated with long life, one of the common wishes at New Years time. In December, I filmed another episode for the NHK TV Show “Trails to Oishii Tokyo,” this time featuring a Japanese root vegetable called “gobo.” The timing was excellent, since gobo is often eaten in New Year’s dishes. Its long length is associated with long life, one of the common wishes at New Years time.
